In today’s fast-developing warehousing and logistics field, stacker trucks, as a kind of high-efficiency cargo handling equipment, are widely used in factories, warehouses, supermarkets and other places for their various types and functions. They not only improve the efficiency of cargo handling, but also greatly save the cost of manpower. The forklift trucks on the market can be divided into the following categories: manual forklift trucks, semi-electric forklift trucks, all-electric forklift trucks, explosion-proof forklift trucks and cross-country forklift trucks, etc. Manual forklift trucks are the earliest and most popular type of forklift trucks.
Manual forklift truck is the earliest and the most basic type, which relies on manpower to drive walking, lifting and lowering the forks by manual or foot pedal. This type of forklift truck is simple in structure, flexible in operation, low in maintenance cost, and suitable for short-distance cargo handling in narrow spaces. However, as it relies entirely on manpower, it may be more strenuous and relatively inefficient in handling heavy loads.
Semi-electric forklift trucks, on the other hand, are an upgraded version of manual forklift trucks, which adopt electric drive for the travelling part, while the lifting part still retains manual or foot pedal operation. This design allows the operator to move around with greater ease and comfort, whilst maintaining the flexibility and economy of a manual forklift truck. Semi-electric forklift trucks are particularly suited to applications where there is a need for frequent movement indoors and where the load is not very heavy.
Fully electric forklift trucks are a more advanced type, its travelling and lifting are driven by electricity, easy to operate and high efficiency. All-electric forklift trucks can be equipped with different capacity batteries according to the demand, in order to adapt to different intensity of work requirements. In addition, some high-end models are equipped with intelligent control system, which can accurately control the height and speed of fork lifting, further improving the safety and accuracy of operation. All-electric forklift trucks are widely used in a variety of industrial and commercial environments, especially those with high requirements for operational efficiency.
Explosion-proof forklift trucks are special vehicles designed for flammable and explosive environments, such as chemical plants, oil platforms and other hazardous materials storage areas. These forklift trucks are designed and manufactured to comply with strict explosion-proof standards, using special materials and electrical components to ensure safe operation in potentially explosive atmospheres. Explosion-proof forklift trucks are vital for keeping people safe and preventing accidents.
Off-road forklift trucks, on the other hand, are a type of heavy equipment capable of working in harsh terrain conditions, and are usually used in outdoor construction sites, quarries and other places. They have a powerful powertrain and good off-road performance, capable of overcoming obstacles and driving steadily over uneven ground. Off-road forklift trucks have wide and grippy tyres and a robust body structure to withstand rough usage conditions.
In addition to the above common types, there are also some special-purpose forklift trucks, such as low-temperature forklift trucks, which are suitable for low-temperature environments such as cold storage; and lateral forklift trucks, which can be moved laterally in narrow passages and are very suitable for the handling of long materials.
There are many types of forklift trucks, and different types are suitable for different working environments and operational needs. Choosing the right forklift truck not only improves work efficiency, but also ensures the safety and economy of operation. With the continuous progress of technology, the future forklift trucks will be more intelligent and efficient, bringing more convenience and development for the warehousing and logistics industry.
